Following this, the group split into two, with one group creating double exposure images, while the other made silhouettes of themselves which they filled with text and images related to their individual identities.
Visual Dialogues 2009 is a Tate Galleries project, organised in partnership with Graves Art Gallery and Sheffield Youth Arts Forum, alongside other regional galleries. As part of the project, visual artist Louise Atkinson will be working with participants to develop creative interpretations in order to engage audiences with Modern British works in the Graves collection.
This year, Visual Dialogues will be run in conjunction with The Great British Art Debate. Graves Art Gallery will host the exhibition 'A Picture Of Us' which has been selected from the Tate and Museums Sheffield collections by prominent British artists and local students. These works will facilitate the creation of the interactives and feed into the touring exhibition 'Restless Times' the following year.
